Biography

Born and raised in Modesto, California, Shaelyn graduated magna cum laude from the University of Georgia where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism, minor in Disaster Management, and a certificate in Sports Media.  She is currently in her last year of the J.D. Program at Pepperdine Caruso School of Law, where she is also pursuing a certificate in Alternative Dispute Resolution.

Shaelyn began her legal career as a summer law clerk for the Stanislaus County District Attorney’s office, where she had the opportunity to work on a successful double homicide trial from jury selection through conviction.  In law school, she has won multiple moot court competitions, including one under British law against rising barristers at the Honorable Society of the Inner Temple while spending a semester in London.  She is also involved with multiple legal societies on campus, including the First Generation Law Students Association, Moot Court Board, and serves as Vice President for the Women’s Legal Association.
