Biography

Lilah is an Associate at Schonbuch Hallissy LLP. She is a civil litigator representing designers, contractors, businesses, high net worth individuals, athletes, and celebrities in both federal and state courts throughout California, in business, construction, design, real estate, products liability, and sexual assault/battery cases. Lilah’s cases are often highly publicized, requiring a specialized approach to litigation.

Lilah believes in maintaining meaningful relationships with her clients to obtain the best possible outcomes during high stress periods in their lives. Lilah also believes in practicing law with civility, by fostering relationships with opposing attorneys to best resolve disputes on the merits and not emotions.

Lilah is very involved in the community. She earned the Super Lawyers – Rising Star award designation in 2026 for the Civil Litigation: Defense category. She is a subcommittee member of the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel’s Women in the Law Committee. Lilah is also a member of the South Bay Bar Association and the Los Angeles County Bar Association. Lilah also enjoys mentoring law students through her law school as a preceptor and has spoken on several panels at her law school. Lilah is proud to have spent her entire legal career working with Schonbuch Hallissy LLP attorneys.

  • Burnham, et al. vs. Mattivi Brothers Leasing, Inc., et al. – Represented repair shop and worked on defense team that obtained dismissal of client with prejudice in exchange for a waiver of costs on a wrongful death, product liability action. Successfully opposed another defendant’s motion contesting the good faith settlement.
  • Obtained dismissal with prejudice as to client REIT apartment company in exchange for waiver of costs in a graphic dog attack case.
  • Obtained dismissal with prejudice by plaintiff in a products liability and premises liability case where plaintiff was claiming over $30 million in damages.
  • High profile federal sexual assault case – handling associate on defense team on case where plaintiff dismissed case altogether before hearing on client’s motion to dismiss complaint.
