General Counsel / Managing Director
Laurie Julien is the General Counsel and Managing Director of Schonbuch Hallissy LLP. She renders legal opinions, provides guidance, risk management advice, and negotiates contracts on the Firm’s behalf. Laurie manages all aspects of the Firm’s operations, including strategic planning, establishing objectives, budgeting, insurance, human resources, and public relations. Laurie is modernizing firm operations to ensure an efficient and vibrant work environment.
Biography
Prior to joining the management team at Schonbuch Hallissy LLP, Laurie practiced law for over 30 years. During her legal career, she focused her practice on insurance coverage and bad faith, successfully guiding, advising and protecting the interests of insurers and construction companies throughout the United States. Laurie handled a broad range of cases, from two-party coverage/declaratory relief and bad faith disputes to high exposure, multi-site, multi-party long-tail claims involving hazardous waste, environmental liabilities, earth movement and construction defects. She also litigated cases involving underwriting issues, fraud, misrepresentation and concealment, subrogation, contribution, personal injury, advertising injury, business interruption and miscellaneous torts.
